Where did I come up with this name for a painting? That’s a good question. Lately, I’ve been painting flowers in vintage footed glassware and women’s names keep popping into my head to represent each glass/flower combination. This one looks like “Maxine” and this one looks like “Ruby,” etc. These amaryllis blooms came from my garden and I immediately thought of them as triplet sisters. Admiring how they gracefully drape themselves over the edges of the glasses, “Twisted Sisters” came to mind and it stuck!
